McLaren Regional Medical Center is searching for a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team of Therapy professionals.
Position Summary:
Works under supervision of a registered Occupational Therapist. Assists patients in achieving and restoring strength, endurance and coordination through a therapeutic program.
Required Education/Experience:
1. Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant Program.
2. Current Michigan Certification.
3. Possess 1-3 months of related job experience.
4. Trained and educated in age-specific categories being served: pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric.
5. Capable of spending 25-35% of time lifting, carrying, and moving items that weigh 25 pounds or more.
6. Ability to effectively communicate and present self to people in a courteous, tactful and poised manner.
Preferred Education/Experience:
1. Current certification from the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board.
